As Twilight Renders

Lush blueberries ripe
ready to be devoured,
blue as the coast line.

Tumbled fire drifts
piles of color ready
splashing leaves in flight.

Stinging winter chill,
never ending, howling wind,
sunny days ahead.

The measure of spring
migrating salmon welcome,
spring has come again.

A symphony jolts,
water covers endless sand,
footprints disappear.
